See Steve Lowry's e-mail below regarding an opportunity to participate on a
transition-related committee at wSSB. Steve's e-mail is

Greetings,

Would you like to participate in a multi-year project to improve transition
services at WSSB?

Last spring WSSB was chosen to be part of a grant-funded pilot project
administered by the Center for Change in Transition Services at Seattle
University. We are one of multiple school districts around the state who
have the opportunity to create a "Transition Learning Community" that will
be facilitated by a CCTS Transition Specialist. The long-term goal of our
TLC is to improve the post-high school outcomes of our graduates. We will
identify specific, targeted action items that can be implemented in our
district as well as resources that can be funded by the CCTS grant.

At this point, we need to put together our TLC "leadership team" that will
work together to create our action plan. The team is supposed to consist of
school staff as well as community stakeholders. The commitment for team
members is participation in six 3-hour workshops over the next 18 months.
Details for this pilot project have only come out very recently, and our
first workshop is just two weeks away.

Workshop Schedule:

1 - Oct. 28; 12:00-3:00 pm

2 - TBD, early December

3 - Jan. 10, 2017; 12:00-3:00 pm

4 - April 13, 2017; 12:00-3:00 pm

5 & 6 - TBD

Please let me know if you are interested in being part of this transition
leadership team.

Thanks,

Steve
