I just wanted to send a reminder out that we will not be having a monthly meeting this Saturday. Due to the independence Day holiday and upcoming national convention, we have traditionally not met in July and have decided not to do so again this year. However, that does not mean that we cannot do the business of the NFB. I know most of you are unable to attend the national convention in New Orleans, but I am hopeful that all of you were able to sign up for the virtual experience. I know I am very much looking forward to listening in on the general sessions and the banquet. And for those couple of you who are going, we look forward to hearing all about it at our next meeting on August 2. At our last meeting, we decided to try and do a tastefully simple fundraiser. I have tried a few times now to reach out to the consultant who helped us in the past, I have not been able to get a hold of her. I have tried to put out feelers to see if there was anyone else in the Federation Who did this for tastefully simple, and could support up online party for our chapter, but have not found anybody yet. If I do not find somebody soon in the Federation, I will reach out to taste really simple themselves and find a consultant. It was my hope, however to Give the sales to a blind person if possible. I hope all of you have a very wonderful Independence Day weekend. Safe travels to those of you going to New Orleans, and I look forward to seeing everybody on August 2. Everyday we raise the expectations of blind people because we know that low expectations create obstacles between blind people and our dreams. You can live the life you want, blindness is not what holds you back. -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL:
