Greetings:

It has been a day of great victories for us on H.B. 1274, the bill creating the Colorado Commission for the Blind and Visually Impaired.  As we reported earlier in the day, the bill got through  House Appropriations on a 9 to 2 vote.  Then, Representative Joe Rice brought it immediately to the House Floor on Second Reading.  A little debate ensued but it then passed by a substantial margin.  On Monday, it will be up for its third and final reading.  It's very likely that it will pass out of the House.

However, we need to seal the deal.  Please contact your Representative and as many of the members  of the House that you can.  You could say something like the following:

We thank you for passing H.B. 1274 on Second Reading and urge your support on Third Reading.  The Colorado Commission for the Blind will help blind and visually impaired Coloradans achieve real equality in our state.

If you send an e-mail, please put something like "support H.B. 1274 on Third Reading."

Below you will find a list of House Members in alphabetic order.  The list provides their district numbers and whether they are Republicans "r" or Democrats "d".  Their e-mails are also in the list as well as their county and occupations.  The list is also attached in Word format.
