If Kahlan isn't even seven months old yet, I'd be surprised if she takes 
well to the sippie.  I didn't have much luck getting my little one to take a 
sippie before she was a year old, and I admit she was two before we got the 
bottle out of her life, and by then it was a big struggle.  You might look 
for a sippie cup with a soft nipple type mouthpiece instead of a rigid one.
