Hi everyone. I am new to the list. I am a subscriber to the national
association of blind students. Today I learned about the list and joined.
I entered the Army in 1971. I had two brothers in Nam when I enlisted so
I did not go to Nam. I also had a younger brother who joined the Marines
and went to Nam in 1974 to aide with the evacuation. My dad was in WWII.
He served in Europe, the South Pacific, and in Africa. He made it home
safe, but late in life became blind. He died in 1998. He did not learn
Braille. My Aunt was blind before I was born. She knew Braille. I
learned Braille in 1995. In 2000 I founded the Kansas Braille
Transcription Institute to do Braille for others, and to teach Braille.
But, I did not want to write a book here, I just wanted to say "Hi", and
to introduce myself.
Best regards,
Randolph Cabral,
