Actually Marion,

There's a funny story I could tell involving a relative observing an old
man out in his yard pulling weeds as best he could.  Relative and friend
looked at each other and went over and offered to pull weeds for him.  He
paid them each $5 for their help.  They even hauled away the bag for him.

Neither of them thought yours truly would know what they were doing, since
he's blind, after all.  He might not have, if they weren't still stoned
upon returning from "helping" this guy..
