[Blindtlk] Air Canada Assistance Dog Routes to UK

Good afternoon everyone,



            Air Canada now operates routes in to the auk for registered
assistance dogs from a number of Canadian Cities to London's Heathrow
International Airport. Air Canada is Canada's second airline, and the third
North American carrier to commence operation of assistance dog routes in to
the UK. This means that guide and other assistance dogs may now travel in
the passenger cabin with their owner rather than in the cargo hold.



Air Canada joins Air Transat and British Airways in the operation of
assistance dog routes in to the UK. Air Transat now operates two routes to
Manchester in addition to their routes to London Gatwick. The current list
of assistance dog routes from Canada in to the UK is as follows:

            Note that Toronto currently has the most North American Routes
in to the UK, (Five to be exact),  operated by three different airlines. I
join Mike Osborn in echoing his sentiment that it's great to see this
campaign coming to a successful conclusion and it will finally be possible
to be accompanied by one's guide dog in the passenger cabin when flying to
the UK. The day is in sight when all airlines will transport guide and other
assistance dogs this way. We need only finish the fight to bring this battle
to its ultimate conclusion.
