from randi rabiner: i have one of the hamilton beach microwaves as a back up,as   mike said it is not completely accessible.  it was geared for college students but wound up being bought by mostly blind people. i would not pay more than the original price of $79.  if you purchase   whirlpool appliances as well as maytag they will furnish braille overlays at no additional charge, you just call and give them the model number you purchased. then you will have exactly the features you desire.
