Klystron tubes (as other tubes) are not 100% efficient. therefore, more
power is drawn than is put out by the tube. That's why the difference
between power consumption and amount of microwave energy cooking your
food.

My understanding is that the unit in question is fairly accessible but
not completely so.

  Hi Listers,

I am considering the purchase of the Temo Talking Microwave. Neither
Wal-Mart or Best Buy handle it anymore. I did find it on the Dynamic
  Living web site for $139.00.

Can anyone advise me of its quality, its accessibility, ETC? Further,
why is it being called a 900 watts microwave, but its power
consumption is listed at 1450 watts.

If others can suggest another talking microwave, please advise. I've
always marked microwaves with bump dots, or the brand came accessible
to a point so that I didn't need to mark any buttons.

  Thanks for your input.

  Friendship, Peace, and Blessings
