Dear All,
    I am sending this to you on behalf of NFB of North Dakota President Jenelle Bichler regarding the comments that appeared in the Williston(ND)  Herald that has been a discussion on the NAGDU list and sent to the Blind Talk list.

Dear Fellow NFB members,  

I am deeply sorry for the misunderstanding that the Williston   Herald had printed in there newspaper.  I am not and have never been against Guide dogs.  The quote that I said to zack (the reporter) was That the white cane and Guide dogs have helped us make it to where we are not co dependent

My Vice president is a guide dog user and I love her dog.  I believe that what ever tool works for you to maintain your independents use it.  Another thing is my Daughter has a service dog.  No it is not the same as a guide dog but she needs it just as we need a cane or a guide dog. SO no I am not against the guide dog or there users.  I will be posting a note to the editor and I will email zack and let him know how disappointed I am in this matter.
