[Blindtlk] teachers' pay based on test scores

Hello, just an answer to a previous posting:
Basically the proposed bill would allow pay based on whether test scores
are high or low. I don't understand it, either.
If teachers teach, according to what is on the standardized tests, then,
as my argument contends, there would be very little time in what a child
_needs to learn. 100% of all learning should come from textbooks, period.
Creative writing must be incorporated into all curricula, another 100%.
Now, if punctuation, gramatical expressions, and so on--can be taught, then
it must be included. But, (and I emphasize on this,) certain things
cannot be taught in the classroom, period, exclamation point. So it must
be up to the parent(s), tutor(s), or others who teach these students, as to
how children are being taught.
When bills get considered, I shudder what V.I. teachers are thinking; it
puts other teacher(s) at a terrible disadvantage.
Eric
