Josh, here are some practical things you can do right away.

1.  call:
1-410-659-9314
and ask for the following:
Your state NFB presditent.
Your local chapter president.
Your local Parents of Blind children chapter president in your area.  If I 
understand correctly, the Parents of Blind children has a special interest 
in matters such as yours.  Anyhow, as soon as you get this message tomorrow, 
or later today, act at once and do not delay.  HTH.

Please contact your local newspaper certainly they probably willtell your
story.

CCheck around see if there are other blind parent in your area whom may
willing to held you.
