I have pretty much figured out that the issues is she feels that my friend
wants to go with us a lot, and she pointed out to me that she feels
sometimes he invites him self along.
So I am going to talk with him about that.

Subject: [Blindtlk] question
Corrie, Lori has a point. I know, and so do many of us, people who just
seem to think that if you drive, they will just automatically be given a
ride. After you find out why your partner is frustrated with this
person, then you can work on solutions. The main thing, is to keep your
partner happy. You may also want to suggest to your problem person that
it is perfectly respectable to offer to pay for gas, or something else.
Even if the driver insists that he doesn't need to, and would accept
payment for gas, a gift is a good substitute. Dinner works too. His
other option is to pay for the cab, and perhaps get some friends to go
with him (or her) to the theater. Then they can split the fare.
