Hi James,
I too grew up around guns. I grew up in the Southwestern part of the US so
it was quite common. My dad is from Texas, and he used to let me handle his
guns when I was younger. Of course, he also taught me gun safety as well. He
always told me that it didn't matter if I was a girl or blind. I still
needed to learn how, but that's just dad. By the way, he also used to let me
drive, but that is different subject.
Take Care,
Karmalynne

Interesting topic, there was an article in the Braile Monitor about a
month ago about a blidn hunter. I think it was Rich Crawford from IA,
but I'm not positive.
It was a very interesting article on deer hunting, though.
I also met a blidn man at our state NFB convention this year that elk
hunts using a sighted shooter.
I personally grew up around guns and have shot quite a few times. My
parents also bought and let me shoot my own BB gun growing up.
Anyway, thanks for an interesting topic.
