POSITION: Vice President Marketing                                             DATE: June 25, 2007
 
DEPARTMENT:  Programs and Services - Marketing 
 
PURPOSE OF POSITION:            Responsible for the development and coordination of a comprehensive, integrated marketing strategy which includes all aspects of communication, promotion, internet, media, and brand development.  Develops strategy in conjunction with sales and product development to insure optimization and support of all initiatives. Responsible for market research, segmentation analysis and competitive analysis.     
 
CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
-                   Responsible for development and implementation of a comprehensive, integrated marketing strategy in support of RFB&D tactical and strategic objectives.
-                   Responsible for marketing research designed to identify and differentiate existing and potential market segment opportunities. 
-                   Responsible for initiation and development of strategic marketing plans enabling RFB&D to penetrate new markets and maximize existing opportunities.
-                   Responsible for the development of a targeted message conveying our value proposition to both overall and individual market segments.  
-                   Responsible for the development, implementation and coordination of  media advertising plans.
-                   Responsible for the development, implementation and coordination of direct mail campaigns.
-                   Responsible for the development, implementation and coordination of internet initiatives including management of all web sites.
-                   Responsible for the development of an overall brand strategy and coordination of all communications to insure uniformity of image and message.
-                   Responsible for Identifying cross marketing opportunities both inside and outside of the organization.
Collaborates with all departments, Sales, Marketing, etc., to develop a marketing strategy in support of their objectives. 
-                   Actively monitors marketing initiatives, budgets, and revenue and expense forecasts to insure attainment of goals on time and on budget.
-                   Conducts reviews of marketing plans and activities to monitor their effectiveness.
-                   Conducts regular feedback and development sessions to motivate and mentor the marketing department personnel.
-                   Provides regular feedback to Senior Vice President of Programs and Services.
-                   Acts as a liaison between Units and Headquarters to insure the timely gathering and exchange of information and market intelligence.
-                   Participates in the development and implementation of sales and product strategies.
-                   Manages the activities of outside vendors contracted to perform marketing related functions.
-                   Leverages best practices within Unit and Headquarter territories.
-                   Demonstrates the ability to interact and cooperate with contacts, individual Units, and all company employees.
-                   Adheres to all policies, procedures and business ethics codes.  
 
SKILLS AND EDUCATION REQUIRED:
            Bachelor degree or equivalent. Masters degree a plus.
Minimum 5-10 years experience in senior marketing management position; experience with educational market a plus.
            Strong team building, teamwork, and collaboration skills.
Excellent presentation, oral & written communication skills. Ability to influence and persuade others who do not report directly. 
            PC literate with experience in Word and Power Point (presentations).
            Proven track record achieving objectives.  
Self starter with demonstrated effectiveness in a multi-tasking & collaborative environment. 
May require travel (local and out of state) approximately 5-10% of the time.
