[Blindtlk] need help with research

yes I know this. I was someone who went through this. I started out school
with large print and using a CCTV and then by the 4th grade, they realized
it was becoming too difficult. they then switched me to braille for the
most part except for math. Now, I have hardly any usable vision so I am a
total braille user.
what I'm looking for is actual research that has been done on it so I can
write a paper. comparing the plusses and negatives to both if that makes
sense. Meaning even if a student is able to use an optical device would it
be more worth while for them to just learn braille instead of struggle with
learning how to use the visual aid.
Thanks though for letting me know what you think.
