Jamie, I hope that you understand that what is most effective will depend on
how much vision the student has. One scenario would be that if one knows
braille and has enough vision to read large print, but reading for a long
period of time causes that person eye-strain and headaches, then braille
would probably be more effective for that person. This is only one among
many scenarios.

Subject: [Blindtlk] need help with research
Hey everyone,
I know I haven't writtten in a long time, so I'll give you the short
update before I ask my question. I am currently getting my masters in VI.
That being said I am starting to work on my final paper almost like a
thesis. Anyway, my topic has to do with braille verses large print, or
using optical devices in the classroom. I want to compare which is more
affective for a student. I have heard there is a lot of research out there
about this, but I'm not sure where to look. IF anyone has any suggestions
that would be great.
Thanks,
Jamie
