I have been asked to post the following:
March 2007
Dear Friends of the Braille Circulating Library,
Greetings in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. This letter is a
milestone in the ministry of the Braille Circulating Library. Now in
our 83rd year of ministry,
this is the first letter in Braille that has ever been sent to all
the Braille readers of the Braille Circulating Library. We have been
blessed to now
have a new Juliet Pro 60 Braille Embosser, the Duxbury Braille
Translation software, and an Epson Printer. We are praying for many
new avenues of service
and ministry opportunities with this new equipment.
The reason I am writing is to ask you to pray for this ministry. The
Braille Circulating Library was founded as a faith ministry, and has
always maintained
a complete dependence on God and the use of prayer as a means of
bringing forth God's power to sustain this ministry. At this point in
time, our operating
funds are very low. There are some who are even looking to the
possible closing of this ministry. I am not in favor of this, and
that is why I am asking
that you lift up the Braille Circulating Library to the Lord in your
prayers. I am hard pressed to believe that the Lord is finished using
this ministry
and wants to close it. I have been praying for God to raise up an
Army of 300 Braille Circulating Library Supporters. If 300 people,
churches, civic groups,
Sunday school classes, etc. would give $300 a year ($25 a month) to
this ministry, our operating budget would be fully funded.
Can God raise up such an Army? The faith I have in the BIG God that I
serve says YES! Will you join with me in prayer, believing God will
raise up such
a group? Please find attached an Enlistment Form for you or someone
you know that can become a member of this special group.
Thank you for taking your time to read this letter and to pray for
this ministry. I pray that God will see fit to continue to use this
ministry for many
years to come. Thank you again for your prayers. I look forward to
hearing back from you.
Serving Him,
Brian J. Barton
