Hi guys,
Just wanted to thank everyone once again for all their great suggestions
regarding my question posted last week. I am so thankful for my
federation family, all my blind brothers and sisters who stand firm in
the knowledge that, more often than not where there is a will there is a
way. There is usually an alternative to the seemingly superior sighted
technique. I do love and appreciate you all, whether we have met before
or not.
You really gave me some great food for thought and offered some good
suggestions. I too wish there was a way to just start the meetings at
the conference center, but I'm not sure that that would be practical. I
think it might be a cause of greater confusion, as there is really no
reception area there or office for us to meet in. It's just an are
which a number of various conference rooms. We also need them to sign in
here at Civil Rights, and, if our mediation does result in an agreement,
there is still the need to transition back to the office so that it can
be typed up and finalized. So unfortunately, that probably wouldn't'
work. What I really wish is that we had some conference rooms to use
over here in this building.
Anyway, I think we've got a handle on things, thanks to all go you, and
again, I really appreciate your feedback.
Thanks

Dear Diane,
I am so pleased that you have figured out a work-around for your travel
issue. No doubt we all need guidance from our blind friends at times
and after all, that's what friends are for. Right? I know you will
aptly conquer the problem at hand and soon you will be leading those
sighted folks competently to where they need to go.

Hi guys,
First of all, before I go any further, I MUST apologize for the sloppy
post I sent yesterday. I just reread the post, and found SEVERAL
grammatical/spelling errors and typos. I was in such a hurry to send
the thing that I didn't check thoroughly enough. Sorry about that.
Anyway, I have been doing some exploration this morning, keeping in mind
all the very helpful pointers that I got from Steve and Cindy, and I
think I will soon have this situation under control. I think I have
located a more efficient route, than the one I was trying to navigate. I
think it will look less awkward, actually be more direct, and make the
sighted observers who have me under close scrutiny much less
uncomfortable.
I am going to go out a few more times, do some more exploration, but I
think that the answer to this dilemma is within my grasp, thanks to you
guys. I am so very thankful for my federation family.
Thank you guys so much for your input.
