[Blindtlk] Internet dating for the blind

It even concerns me that he suggested meeting at his house. unless I'd
known the person much longer, or known of him through reliable other known
to me and trusted sources, I'd be highly suspicious of a man who didn't want
to meet in a neutral place the first time. A restaurant, a coffee shop,
these are ideal places.

Jen,

This doesn't prove he is lying, because there are possible explanations.
However, it would have been better if you had found something because then
you would have known for certain that he was telling the truth. I feel very
strongly, for whatever that is worth, that you really should protect
yourself to meet him for the first time in a neutral place such as a
restaurant. That really shouldn't hurt your chances of making a connection
if that is in the cards and he really should understand. In fact, the very
fact that you are meeting him at his house may cause him to believe you are
desperate. Please consider moving to a neutral place. Making that change
will give you a chance to learn more about him by observing his reaction.
Frankly, if he doesn't understand why you might prefer a neutral place, I
would drop him like a hot potato.

Good luck,

Steve Jacobson
