[Blindtlk] Internet dating for the blind

Jen,
Absolutely, meet him in a neutral place. no matter what he says, you don't
really know him. It isn't worth the risk you take by meeting him in your
home. I haven't followed this discussion till this evening, but no woman,
blind or sighted should take the chance of meeting a strange man in his home
alone. As eager as you may be to pursue this relationship, take some simple
precautions to protect yourself. I'm 49 years old, and frankly, I'd feel
skeptical about a man who would expect me to go to his house after such a
short acquaintance and never having met me in person before. Yeah, I'm
single, and it does get frigging lonely sometimes, but I still would have to
take those precautions.
Sherry

I'd say your grandma is probably right. Seems to me you guys oughtta meet in
a neutral place such as a restaurant. Better yet, he oughtta come to your
locale. When I did the on-line dating thing, I made sure I met the date at a
restaurant and came and left under my own power. Never went to someone's
house on the first date.
