Peter:
I believe that RealONE or RealPlayer will play these. I've encountered some
.M4A files and RealONE handles these nicely so I'm guessing that, just as
Windows Media Player handles both .WMA and .WMV files, since RealONE handles
.M4A files, it'll crank out .M4V files also.

Subject: [Blindtlk] Player for .m4v Files
Hello everyone,
I have entered the world of podcasting and have encountered video
podcasts with the .m4v extension. This is a video file format and I need to
know which player will allow me to view these files, or what software I can
use to convert them to the .wmv or a more readily available video file
format. Many of the sites from which I obtained these files listed I-Tunes
as a suggested program for downloading and viewing these files making me
think that this is a proprietary format specific to I-Tunes is this correct
or can they be viewed using another media player?Your enlightening me on
these matters will be very much appreciated. Take care and happy Halloween.
