Oh, and I do understand Alan, and I agree with your reasoning.  I mean I
do have some good friends and fellow chapter members who love to go to
the shooting range, and hunting and that sort of thing.  They are
totally blind, and they handle themselves responsibly, and we have many
other federationist who get into the hunting/shooting thing, and who
handle themselves competently.

My fear is a very personal thing and has nothing to do with blindness.

They scare me to death.  Nothing to do with blindness at all.

blind person trying to tell me what I *CANNOT* do when I know full well
what I can do. Then, to call me foolish because I think I can do it?
That doesn't help matters.  It's all right if a person doesn't like guns
(like Diane), but don't make that your reason for telling me that I
can't (or shouldn't) do something. Yes, Steve, I'm talking to you.  I
understand if you don't like guns, and I don't fault you, but calling me
foolish doesn't win any points with me.  It certainly doesn't influence
me to think objectively about your side of the discussion.
