Hi,
Have called National for resources for him. The farmer I know currently is
a sheep rancher in northern Colorado, but he doesn't have a computer.
Also, if you subscribe to nfb-talk or blindtalk, ask on those lists. They
may cover more of a broad spectrum of people who may have contacts.
The National Center's number, by the way, is (410) 659-9314.
Best wishes.
Judy

Subject: [Blindtlk] references for my friend who is blind
I wrote this and sent it earlier this morning but have not seen it on the
list, so I am resending it again. I apologize if it appears here twice.
Hi everyone,
I have a friend I recently reconnected with who lives in Northeastern
Pennsylvania. He farms and is totally blind. He wants to get connected with
other blind farmers, particularly people who have chickens and pigeons. He
has pigeons and has questions about some things that he is currently having
a sighted person do, but he'd like to do them himself. He is also working on
a project to build something and wants to also talk to other blind people
who use power tools. If you could contact me off list, I can give him your
number or give you his number. If you know of other people who should talk
to him, can you please forward this message to the appropriate people and
have them contact me so I can put them in touch.
Thanks
Chasity
