Dear all,
American Printing House for the Blind (APH) is seeking more teachers to
evaluate and test Cedric's Cartesian Quest, a math game for iPad. The app
is designed for 6th grade and middle school students with blindness or low
vision to practice knowledge and skills related to the Cartesian coordinate
plane. Some of the foundational skills your students will practice include
locating points on the coordinate plane, finding distance between points,
drawing polygons in the coordinate plane, and using the understanding of
symmetry across the x and y axes and the origin for problem solving. This
app would be a great supplement to classroom instruction by strengthening
all students’ understanding through fun gameplay, regardless of their level
of vision.
Testing will begin on January 21 and end on February 28. If you have an
iPad and are interested in testing this app with your 6th grade or middle
school students, please fill out this application form by January 17th,
2025 (https://forms.office.com/r/aRZKh09qp3). Should you have any
questions, contact Li Zhou at lzhou at aph.org.
Thank you for your time and consideration!
Li Zhou, Ed.D.
