[BlindMath] Questions for adding math in Excel

Hello Chris:
In response to your first question, you need to add the data for the
variables to be represented in the scatter plot in the Excel sheet. In the
first column, for example, column A, you add the data for the independent
variable, and in column B, the data for the dependent variable. Then, you
will select the range of data using Shift + the arrow keys. Once you have
selected the range, use the keyboard shortcut Alt + B, N, Y to access the
scatter plot option, and then use the arrow keys to choose the design from
the options. My Excel interface is in Spanish, so I’m not sure if the
shortcuts vary much in English. In any case, if the shortcut doesn’t work
for you, go to the Insert tab and use the Tab key to find the scatter plot
option.
This type of chart is useful for comparing the relationship between two
variables. To make optimal use of it, you should have some knowledge of
correlation (a statistical measure of the relationship between two
variables) because that can help you in the analysis.
Regarding your second question, version 2016 or higher is required. You
need to make some minimal configurations in Word and use the equation
editor by entering the mathematical expression in LaTeX (manually, not copy
and paste) or Unicode math. It works with JAWS without any additional
setup, but with NVDA, you need to select UI Automation for Word in the
'always' options to ensure the reader can read the expression.
I hope I have been helpful.
Regards, Halena.
