Systems engineer over here, might that help? If not, I think NFB has a blind electricians group and if you want to impress the teacher find out how you’d be an electrician if you are blind. 
Lots of good smart people on here, just don’t forget about the NFB boards and ACB for that matter. There should be a whole list on NFB main page or there used to be.
