Thank you David Andrews for this recent update on the NFB 2008 legislative
agenda.  

 

While the need for Quiet Car legislation is obvious, I am very pessimistic
about its chances for success, especially in an election year.
Unfortunately, spurred on by the mainstream media, Congress is firmly in the
clutches of environmentalists.  One of the favorite items for
environmentalist is the hybrid car. With many of these people being obsessed
with the fantasy of global warming, it is unlikely that many in Congress
will want to do anything to interfere  with their favorite "toy" the hybrid
car. My fear is one of us will have to die before the Sierra Club and Al
Gore will give permission to their zealots in Congress to do anything about
this issue.  I certainly hope I am wrong.
