Which carrier?
The 6682 was carried by AT and T but I'm sure ofther carriers used it. I
fyou are with AT and T, you should consider contacting their National Center
for Customers with Disabilities.
866-241-6568. They are open a couple of more hours today and then have
standard business hours Monday through Friday.
They ahve a program where you can get the Mobile Speak software for only $90
instead of $299. You currently ahve a choice of the Nokia n75, the Motorola
Q, the Samsung Blackjack, the Nokia e62, and a phone by Pantech.
It's a program to consider but not the only solution.

Subject: [blindlaw] Nokia 6682vi
Good afternoon,
I am in the market for a new cell phone. I was thinking about the Nokia
6682vi (the only phone that my provider has that comes close to working well
for the blind and visually impaired). I was hoping that I could use the
phone to be productive while waiting for appointments, for instance, reading
recent SCC decisions etc.
Does anyone have experience with this phone and can they tell me how well
the Word and PDF readers work for the blind?
Thanks,
Everett
