Joshua--
We have had discussions on this list regarding timekeeping software but
less discussion about case management software specifically. To my
recollection, no one has indicated being entirely pleased with either
type of software. While Thompson-West has asked the National
Association of Blind Lawyers to assist with looking at the accessibility
of its research product, to my knowledge we have not been enlisted to
look at its case management or timekeeping products.
Please let us know if you learn of an accessible case management
product, and others please pipe up if I am wrong.

Subject: [blindlaw] Screen Readers and Legal Software
Greetings,
I work in the American Bar Association's Legal Technology Resource
Center. We advise attorneys on a variety of technology issues. We were
recently contacted by an attorney who is interested in finding case
management or practice management software that will be compatible with
a screen reader such as Freedom Scientific's JAWS or GW Micro's
Window-Eyes. I've tried contacting several of the software vendors but
they haven't been terribly helpful. Does anyone have a software
recommendation that I could pass along? I'm particularly interested in
finding out if there are any software vendors that have made a conscious
effort to support screen readers.
Thank you,
Joshua J. Poje, J.D.
