Here I was thinking the martial arts topic ended and now we're back to
discussing Fujitsu.
Personally, I'm a green belt in the HP 4500C. It's an adequate document
feeding scanner for about 1/3 the price of the Fujitsu upper end models. I
have the Fujitsu on my wish list, but will need a few marriages to break up
or lead foots to get caught first.
In law school, I kept a close relationship with the professors and the
disability services. The book publishers gave me electronic copies.
Professors, who wrote the course packets and handouts on computers were able
to email me copies of most non-book materials. Disability services took
care of scanning the rest--course packets and manuals that hadn't been
updated this century.

Subject: [blindlaw] Fujitsu ScanSnap s500
Good afternoon,
I am thinking about purchasing a new scanner for my first year of law
school. Is anyone familiar with the Fujitsu ScanSnap s500 and how well it
performs as both a scanner and how well the Abbyy OCR bundled with it
performs for OCR?
Any other sheet-fed scanner recommendations would be great.
Thanks,
Everett
