You can get the T-Mobile phone unlocked and it will work on the Cingular 
Network.  Both carriers are GSM which mean they have a simm card that holds 
the account info on them.  All you have to do is put a cingular simm card in 
a t-mobile phone after it's been unlocked and you can use either phone on 
eaither network.
