I'veused a multitude of different units. When you say PDA there is
sometimes confusion. PDA (personal digital assistants) are premised on the
notion that you can keep track of contact and scheduling information. The
term has gotten somewhat mixed up with the advent of smartphones and Pocket
PC's or (PPC). I could go on but to answer your question:
I'm currently using a Cingular 8525. This is a PPC and is a unit made by
HTC and branded with the Cingular name. I like the fact that it has a
keypad that is large and distinct. The keys are tactile and they aren't
bunched up so close that you can't use them. That being said, I use a
Bluetooth collapsable keyboard for most of my data entry on the unit itself.
It's just easy and more efficient that way for me. The unit is GSM so that
I can receive and make calls on it (clarity is good). It has a touch
screeen which may sound useless, but with the software "Mobilespeak" the
touchpanel is used to control many of the functions of the unit. The unit
runs on 3G so that data is fast and that makes for a decent web experience
too. You can get web access and email whereever you are. This unit can
operate as a wireless or tethered modem for your computer too and because of
the 3G capability, downloads speeds are averaging 1.4 megabits and and
upload speed of 300 or so. It comes loaded with Windows Mobile 5.0 PPC
edition so that you can EDIT and read Word documents, Excel Documents,
email, and it even has a mobile version for Powerpoint in case you need to
keep presentations with you.
I could go on but will do so offline if you want to contact me via my
personal email:

Good luck!

Good morning,
I am curious what each of you uses for an accessible PDA. Can anyone with
an accessible PDA please write and let me know what brand / model you use
along with your likes and dislikes?
Thanks,
Everett
