I would second everything that Ronza has said. Although you will be tempted
to learn the law before you get to Law School, don't do it! I know you are
excited, but share this excitement by spending times with your families,
read things that you always wanted to read and never had the time, and
travel if possible. Also, go on the net and read general advice about law
school, such as how to succeed on exams, but not what is Promissory
Estoppel, which you will learn when you get there. Law School expects you to
have the ability to master the material, and by having been accepted,
already tells them that you will have no problem doing so. This is the last
free summer of your life potentially, so enjoy it!
I would advise ou to read philosophy text if you are interested in the
subject, etc.
Take care and feel free to supplement your questions as you wish.
Rod

There's a great book called "Bridging the Gap Between College and Law
School," but I'm sorry that I can't remember the author's name. I got a
copy from
RFB&D, and it was very helpful. I'd also suggest you get your hands on a
civics or U.S. Government book and just refresh; this will especially be
helpful
for Constitutional Law. I'd really discourage you from trying to learn or
practice any kind of legal writing before law school. You're going to have
to
forget everything you've ever learned about writing anyway, so don't stress
about your skills now. My final and most important bit of advice is to try
to enjoy your summer as much as possible. It is unlikely you'll ever have
a
stress-free summer again, with summer jobs, job searches, and so on. Just
ride on the thrill of being an incoming 1L. Congratulations!
Hope this helps.
Ronza
