Hi Deborah,

Welcome to the list. On previous occasions, people have expressed their
preferences for either the standard site or the text only version. Personally,
I can't stand the text only version and find the standard site very
accessible. Westlaw does occasionally rearrange the site, but I've never had any
problems navigating it after a change. You're very lucky to have access now.
Many of us had limited access our first year because of law school policies
aimed at teaching "library research." Westlaw's toll free research help line is
a great resource because you can call them and they'll walk you through a
particular search if you're having trouble. I've never needed them to talk me
through an inaccessible portion of the site, but I imagine they could if the
situation arose. Westlaw also provides each law school with an on-site
representative who conducts training and workshops. When I took a job as a
research assistant for a professor, I asked for some extra training, and the
representative showed me some really handy ways to skip some of the navigation
steps. You might consider training too

Congratulations on getting into law school.

Regards,
Ronza
