[blindlaw] Visit to the ER without a signature being asked for.

Last Saturday I was in the ER with acute ... something... that had me vomiting for four days and really sick. While in the ER, while the care was competent, and they did look at my health insurance card (MediCal through Social Security), they never once asked me for a signature. I didn't think much about it at the time, because I just wanted to die and get it over with, but now, upon reflection, I do not believe I signed one piece of paper authorizing anything. I guess I have to assume that something like, "He's blind, he can't possibly sign this," happened in someone's mine, but my question is, is this legal? What rights do I have, if any, when I did not give anyone permission to sign by proxy for me?
