If you're interested in litigation and civil rights work, and are willing
to relocate , I would recommend you to apply to a paralegal position at
Disability Rights Advocates in Berkeley. Please contact me off list if
you're interested.

Subject: [blindlaw] entry level law firm jobs and the LSAT
Hi Everyone,
I have been lurking on this list for a while, but haven't actually posted.
I am a recent college graduate and am looking for entry level law firm jobs
in Washington, DC. So far I haven't had much success; I was advised to
apply to legal temp agencies, so applied to legal source, trak legal, and
legal assets. I am not convinced that these agencies are the answer for
someone like myself who has no experience and is totally blind.
I am looking to gain some real world legal experience before attending law
school in 2008 or 2009, depending on how much success I have on the job
front. I would love to hear any suggestions anyone may have about avenues I
might take to help me get my foot in the door and gain some legal
experience? Do you think it is realistic to attempt to gain a position at a
law firm, or are there other places I might look in order to gain some
experience? I feel like these temp agencies are very nice to me, but they
haven't given me any assignments in the two months that I have been signed
up with any of them, and I am just not convinced they are the answer to my
problem.
I would love any input anyone might have.
I am signed up to take a LSAT prep course starting in June through Kaplin,
and was wondering about the accomidations? Has anyone had experience with
these classes and did you find them helpful? Also, what kind of
accomidations did you mannage to get through LSAC when you took the test?
Thanks so much for any help anyone can give me as I embark on getting my
foot in the door of the legal profession!
Olivia
