Yes, it has a four-track cassette player, and it is a nice boom box sort of
product. When set to do so, the control buttons speak their respective
functions, and there is a CD with instructions.

lifestyle.I listen to an enormous amount of taped material and would like a
player similar to a large boom-box style, with large high quality speakers
and an AM/FM tuner. I am not interested in portability or cost.

company to see if they can remove the 4 track cassette player from one of my
portable units and place it in the boom box. Before going to this extreme,
does anyone know where I might purchase the type of 4 track player I have
described above? I'm sure if there is one already on the market, it will
save me time and uncertainty to buy a unit already designed and tested. It
may also have a speech compression mode for faster reading. Any help in my
search is greatly appreciated.
