Dear Ger,

I know the legal eagles on our listserv will be happy to correspond with
you. The problem is, to our way of thinking, you are still asking your
question in the wrong direction. Please tell folks on the list which
specialties interest you. Are you interested in becoming a tax attorney
in a large firm; Equal Employment Opportunity lawyer [EEO laws]; judge;
commercial property lawyer; copyright law specialist; assistant District
Attorney for a city; civil rights attorney; social security law
specialist; or environmental lawyer; or do you wish to work in some
other specialty? Please do not restrict yourself to this tiny list of
specialties, but please confess which specialty or specialties you most
want to do as for your employment. If you were not blind, which
specialty most interests you?

Cordially,
Lorraine Rovig

Dear Lorraine,
Before making a couple of points regarding your most informative
e-mail, let me say that I found it most informative and some what
helpful.

Nevertheless, I must respectfully suggest that in writing your e-mail
you have misunderstood the questions I asked. (Perhaps they read
differently over there?) in particular, I feel that I was trying to do
exactly what you suggested in your email, already. Was that not what
those questions were about? e.g. finding blind persons with rellevent
experience, from whom further explanations etc. could be gleaned?

By the way, If you are suggesting that talking to people would be
better than e-mailing them, this is perhaps true and I am already doing
just that with a couple of people here. However, given the distance etc.
involved, e-mail seems an easier and simpler form of communicating with
people in the U.S.
  Ger
