When I work the multi-state questions I use an excel spreadsheet for my 
answer sheet.  I set up a hot key shortcut alt+cntl+X. It maximizes it to 
the spreadsheet, I type my answer, press enter to move to the next cell, and 
alt+space+n to minimize the spreadsheet underneath my question file.  It 
keeps it pretty speedy.

Otherwise, use two computers if you have that option, laptop adn desktop, 
answersheet on the desktop, questions on the laptop.
