I don't know about Kruzweil, but Zoomtext does not have a very sophisticated
screen reader, and it's about impossible to design anything other than a
plain text page to use with it. Zoomtext is primarily a screen enlarger,
and is designed to read small amounts of text through its screen reader, but
it's not designed to navigate with the screen reader. That being said, I
primarily use zoomtext (and a bit of window eyes), and I have no problems
using Lexis or Westlaw with it. When I had access to both as a law student,
I preferred Lexis because I like their service better. Now I only have
Westlaw access, but I have no access problems using Zoomtext.
I think someone mentioned having the right tools for the job. If you need
to use a screen reader to access online research, then you should use a
screen reader, but Zoomtext is not a fully functional screen reader, and
won't provide the access you want. That is not a Lexis/Westlaw issue, that
is a Zoomtext issue.

Oh, and quite simply...
My experience proved to me that screen readers (ZoomText and Kurzweil) did
not work well with Westlaw and Lexis. I addressed this issue with both Lexis
and Westlaw and received no satisfaction.
Thus, I doubt that moving to a screen reader (which, as I've stated DID NOT
WORK with either Lexis or Westlaw) will help.
