Perhaps I missed it, but I am not aware that there was a suit against US
Air. I think there was some talk of including American Airlines in the
Southwest suit, which as most know was poorly managed. The NFB introduced a
resolution at our 2005 convention in Louisville that criticized the practice
of many air lines of assessing an additional charge for tickets purchased
by phone. The justification for that was that when web sites of airlines
are not accessible, the phone is a reasonable option. I must confess that
it surprised me, but that resolution did not pass. Southwest now has a
pretty accessible web site, and I know that Airtran is also quite usable.
The last I actually tried American, it was not good, though that has been a
while ago so, though I doubt it, they could have made positive changes. It
appears clear though from Stephanie's concerns that they are still hard to
use.

Can someone refresh my recollection as to what happened in the lawsuit
against US Air regarding the inaccessibility of their website? I just had
a similar rather frustrating experience with American Airlines.

Thanks.

Stephanie
