[Blind-rollers] Power wheelchairs

You may be pushing slightly to an angle on the joystick, I would have someone sighted observe or drive it. Sometimes even a very very slight angle on the joystick will take the chair at an angle. The new electronics are that sensitive. If the electronics on the chair are "smart" enough the vendor can dampen the sensitivity. Also, if it was an older chair you trialed, one of the motors may not have been working properly. Also, there can be problems with wheel alignment like a car's front end alignment. Hope that helps

Subject: [Blind-rollers] Power wheelchairs

Hi list,

I'm sorry, I don't remember if there's anyone on this list who uses a power wheelchair, but if there is, how do I make the chair go straight? I don't have my chair yet, but I should have it by the summer. While practicing with the chair, I couldn't seem to keep the chair straight; it was always going right or left.

Thanks for any suggestions

Jen
