[Blind-rollers] Power wheelchair question

Hi list,

For those of you who use a power wheelchair, were you assessed for it before 
it was ordered, and if so, who assessed you?

I'm asking because Services For The Blind won't order my chair until I'm 
assessed to make sure I can use it safely. The problem with that of course 
is that no one has a loner chair that I can use for the assessment.

Any information would be helpful and appreciated.
