Hi Jen,
Because of a very bumpy holiday in Rome, the pavement is as old as the rest
of this very nice city, my reaction is so late. If you have a mobile phone
with speech, maybe the following could help you as much as it did me.
Loadstone gps. Be aware of the 15 meters it can be incorrect, but it can
show you in the right direction. With the joystick ohn your phone, you can
virtualy see, which points are laft right in front or behind you. It doesn't
have "maps" like trekker gps from humanware, so you will have to make your
own points. But there is a very active community who is sharing their made
points. I use trekker as an inhome learning tool. But going outwside is
always with loadstone. Oh, it's free, you just have to buy a gps receiver.
If you want to read about it go to:
http://www.loadstone-gps.com
It doesn't replace any other thing like cain or dog, it's a nice
orrientation tool that's very good to use, also in a wheelchair.
Best regards Petra
