[Blind-rollers] hello.

My oldest does not push her own chair at all. My youngest who has cerebral
palsy pushes her own chair, and is learning to use a power chair.

Someone mentioned running into walls and furniture when trying out a power
chair. I don't think that is unusual for new power chair users. I had no
vision issues when I first started using a power chair, and I did those
things. It took me about 2 weeks of full time use to become proficient.
Even now, I still put holes in the wall, and run into door frames, and do so
all my sighted chair using friends. I going to be getting a new chair in
the next few weeks, and I will have several days of not driving well, as I
always do when I get a new chair, and that has nothing to do with vision
issues.

Wow. Sounds like a lot of wheelchair users in that family. How does your
youngest and oldest maneuver in their chairs?

Tiffany

P.S. I am totally blind only and I live in Arizona.
