Hi list members, Ken here. Since I have Cerebral palsy, Have an interest in
this list. Even though I don't use a wheelchair any more other than extreme
situations such as a national convention or where there is a long walk or a
lot of stop and go walking, it's still an important topic to me on the access
front. My main access issue that I once ran into was my first rock concert
at the Meadow lands Arena in NJ. went to see, Kansas and Heart on December
16, 1983, and to go to the seat, had to walk a pretty steep flight of stairs to
get to it. hope the new arena in Newark is better about that. With public
transportation, that will be easier to get to from hear. Was my first time
in that arena, Don't remember having that kind of issue in the old Hartford
Civic center or the arena in Baltimore. Have never been to Madison Square
garden. Would love to hear your experiences getting into Arenas and or Stadiums.
Thanks, looking forward to a great dialog. Ken.

I pledge to participate actively in the efforts of the national federation
of the blind to achieve equality, opportunity, and security for the blind; to
support the policies and programs of the federation; and abide by it's
constitution.
