Dear NFBNET.ORG Listserv Subscribers

First, I apologize to those who are subscribed to multiple lists, and
who will get this message a number of times. However, I have made
some changes to list settings, which apply to everybody, so needed to
send to all lists.

First, changes in how some multi-part messages were made. So, some
of you using certain mail programs may see changes, and hopefully
improvements with messages that contain both html and other types of data.

Secondly, all messages on most lists are "personalized." This means
that there is a link at the bottom of each message which will take
you directly to the page where you can unsubscribe or change your
settings. You could, for example, switch to or from Digest Mode,
hold your mail, etc. If you forward a message from one of our lists,
you should edit this line out of the footer. Further, if you were
using a mail filter to sort your incoming mail into folders, and you
used the From: field, your filter may now be broken. The From: line
is different because of the aforementioned personalization. The list
name always appears in brackets in the subject field, and this is
a safer choice for filtering. Some lists do not have the
"personalization" options turned on. These are primarily our
"hidden" lists for different Boards of Directors, etc. This is
because subscribing to these lists is not open, and is controlled by
me anyway, so there is less need for changing options.

Finally, you can now place list names in the CC or BCC fields,
previously you couldn't. This enables me to send messages to
multiple lists, hiding the lists in the BCC field, which means less
junk you have to go through. We are trying this setting, for your
convenience, but if it results in an increase in spam, or other
wanted anomalies, we will have to change it back -- but we are trying it.

As always, if you have any questions, just write me at dandrews at visi.com

David Andrews, List Owner
