[Art_beyond_sight_learning_tools] Passionate Focus 2007 - Call for Submissions

The Guild for the Blind of Chicago is currently accepting submissions for
Passionate Focus 2007, the Guild's annual juried art exhibit by artists who
are blind or visually impaired. The application is attached. The deadline
for applications is Friday, July 6, 2007.  

 

Passionate Focus 2007 will be on display at the new River East Art Center,
Chicago's newest destination for artists and collectors from September 6 -
20, 2007.  

 

The Guild welcomes the Passionate Focus 2007 Jury:

Last year's show was very successful.   Twenty-two of the forty-six pieces
on exhibit were sold during the show.  An additional piece was sold after
the show.

 

In addition, the exhibit was highlighted on two local television stations,
with four artists interviewed.

pieces that comprised the 2006 and 2005 exhibits.  You can also obtain

promote positive attitudes about visual impairment and to assist its members
in achieving dignity and independence at home, in the workplace and in the
