Dear Colleagues and Friends:
I want to send you information on the Washington Seminar for 2006. There are a few changes next year so please read this carefully.
The principal change is the time I must have your reservations. I must have all reservations no later than December 27, 2005. After December
27, all rooms will be based on availability of space. So please do get your reservations in no later than December 27. After that date we will do our
best to accommodate you, however, as I said, the rooms will be available only if there are unsold rooms. The rates are $125 per night for single, double,
triple and quad, and there is a 14.5% tax on the room. Remember to have either cash or a credit card available when you check in to the hotel to cover
at least one night's stay.
Please make your reservations by calling me at (303) 778-1130, extension 219. I will need to have the first and last name with the correct
spelling for each person who will be sharing the room. I will need the arrival and the departure dates for each person. If you have any special requests,
be sure to leave that information. If you request a refrigerator in the room, there will be a $5 charge per day. If you request a rollaway bed, there
will be a $10 charge per day. Be sure to let me know your telephone number or your email address so that we may confirm the receipt of your reservations.
You may also email your reservations, if you wish to do so, to
lbonderson at cocenter.org.
There will be a number of special interest group meetings as there are each year, and if you wish to have meeting room space, I must have that
information by December 27 as well. After that date, I will do my best to find you a spot, but again, I really need to have the information by December
27.
The Gathering-In meeting will be held on Monday, January 30, at 5 p.m. in the Columbia room, and you won't want to miss it. The Mercury room
will be open at 1 p.m. on January 30 to take your congressional appointments.
We will be posting all the meetings on our NFB Web site once they are confirmed, so watch the Web site for lots more information. Since the
due date for reservations and for requesting meeting room space must be confirmed a little earlier than it has been in the past, I wanted to get this off
to you as quickly as possible.
I feel certain we will still have our usual student seminar run by the NFBs National Association of Blind Students on Sunday, January 29, and
all of our usual seminars that you have come to plan on attending, and those meetings will be well publicized once the times and rooms are confirmed.
Looking forward to seeing you all in Washington in January of 2006.
Best wishes,
Diane McGeorge
Coordinator of the NFB Washington Seminar
